Durr Bottling

A 500kW hybrid system running grid, solar, and generator as one. Soluno consolidated three vendor diagnostics apps into a single real-time view and actively orchestrates supply.

Durr Bottling needed more power capacity than the local municipal grid could supply. Rather than wait for grid upgrades, the owner deployed a large hybrid energy system, capable of running fully off-grid when required, with the municipal connection becoming just one of three supply sources alongside solar PV and on-site diesel generation.

The deployment combines 360kW of grid-tied solar generation, a 500kW off-grid inverter system, 660kWh of battery storage, and a 110kW diesel generator. Each component was best-in-class for its role, but they came from different vendors with different diagnostics tools, fragmenting the operator’s view across three separate apps and making whole-system optimisation impossible.

Soluno integrates all of these sources into a single real-time intelligence layer. Our AI-driven asset management service continuously orchestrates when to draw from grid, when to charge or discharge the battery, and when to run the generator, minimising energy cost while maintaining uninterrupted supply to production lines. The owner sees one unified dashboard, and our team actively manages the system as an integrated whole.

Alongside real-time orchestration, Soluno continuously tracks the health of every component: battery capacity and cycle counts, inverter faults and efficiency drift, and generator runtime and load profiles. Early-warning signals are surfaced before they affect production or the bill. Proactive diagnostics across a system this complex would be impractical without the integrated intelligence layer underneath it.

Reliable power, unified visibility

For Durr Bottling, the primary metric is not monthly grid-bill savings. It is having adequate, reliable production power regardless of municipal supply constraints, with unified visibility across a complex multi-source system. Solar generation improves the long-term economics, but the immediate value is operational resilience and integrated management: three diagnostics apps consolidated into a single Soluno dashboard.
